Forsyth County General Services Department is seeking a candidate for the position of Sr. Custodian. An employee in this is position will work alongside their supervisor and the custodial staff to ensure County buildings are clean and sanitary. This employee also makes recommendations for supplies and equipment needs as well as assisting the staff with janitorial techniques and procedures.
Work schedule: 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, Monday through Friday
 A successful candidate should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Considerable knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment used in custodial work.
Ability to coordinate, supervise and evaluate the work of others.
Ability to instruct others in correct usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Ability to observe and report needs for supplies.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.Graduation from high school or GED and three years experience in custodial work
At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
